Tamara Acosta

Tamara graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music and from the New England Conservatory with degrees in vocal performance. After graduating, she moved to New York where she began her performance career. For over 10 years, Tamara traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe performing on many of the world’s great opera stages including the Lyric Opera Chicago, Sarasota Opera, Opera Pacific and Santa Fe Opera. After the birth of her oldest son in 2003, she began her Music Together journey as a Music Together mom. She just relocated to Ithaca with her husband and two sons, having been in and around New York City for the past 15 years. Growing up in Elmira and on Cayuga Lake, she has finally come back home and is thrilled about it! She continues to perform and teach voice privately. Becoming a Music Together teacher has allowed her to combine her two greatest passions, children and music!
